My experience has shown me that the human body is capable of profound healing when given the tools and environment to do so. The key is to find out what is happening in terms of the metabolic processes the body relies upon for its health, and to look at the lifestyle and dietary influences that are present.

I believe in using the best of both worlds – standard medical and complementary. When you work with me, you gain assistance in reaching your health goals while being assured that any medications you are on are taken into consideration and that the combinations you are using are safe. I do not advocate that people drop their medications, but assist them in correcting their body function so they can see  how little medication they actually require.

Where cancer patients are using Chemotherapy or Immunotherapy, I help to improve patient outcomes and substantially reduce side effects. For these patients, my primary aim is to support their treatment, enable them to recover faster and establish ways of reducing future risk for the return of the cancer once in remission.

For those with irreversible tissue damage that requires long term medication I can offer knowledge in how to support their bodies, enabling them to cope better with the medications they are using. At times the efficacy of the medication can be improved resulting in less being required, and I am frequently  able to reduce any medication side effects.

I was trained initially as a Medical Herbalist and achieved a 3 year Diploma with Honours. I was the top student in my group and did an extensive 1 year thesis on drug interactions with natural substances. This thesis is still used by the college as a resource. I have since trained in Functional Medicine Test Analysis and am currently doing a Diploma in Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics. My knowledge of body systems and how mineral depletions and metal or chemical toxicity can affect body function is significant. I use mineral replacement therapy to chelate metals from the body rather than the standard chelation practices and now educate other practitioners in this field.

I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. During my training I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

Through The Ultimate Health Program I can help you create a completely personalized “road map to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals.
